Job Description:
KJCM Maritime Corporation is urgently looking for an experienced Chief Cook to join a Capesize Bulk Carrier on an ASAP basis. The successful candidate must have proven experience preparing European cuisine and will be responsible for the daily galley operation, meal preparation, food hygiene, and catering services for the crew.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Prepare high-quality meals, with a focus on European cuisine.
Plan daily menus and manage food preparation according to crew requirements.
Maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards in the galley and stores.
Manage food provisions, storage, and inventory efficiently.
Ensure compliance with onboard food safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Chief Cook
European Cuisine experience – Mandatory
Previous Bulk Carrier / Capesize experience preferred
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
Valid Cook/Chief Cook certification as applicable
Valid seafarer's documents
Good command of English
Availability to join ASAP
