Job Description
An established 46m motor yacht is seeking an experienced Chef to join the crew. The yacht is currently operating in the Mediterranean and is scheduled to ship to the Caribbean.
The vessel currently operates as a private yacht but is preparing to enter the charter market next season. The successful candidate will therefore need to consistently deliver high-quality cuisine and be comfortable working within both private and charter environments.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to join the program ahead of its first charter season, with a strong focus on menu variety, presentation, food quality, and positive guest interaction.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Prepare high-quality meals tailored to owners and charter guests.
- Develop varied and creative menus suitable for both private and charter operations.
- Maintain consistently high standards of food presentation and service.
- Adapt menus to guest preferences, dietary requirements, and changing itineraries.
- Maintain high standards of galley hygiene, food safety, provisioning, and stock control.
- Work closely with the interior and deck teams to ensure smooth guest service.
Requirements
- Proven professional experience as a Chef.
- Previous yacht experience preferred.
- Experience preparing varied, high-quality cuisine.
- Strong skills in menu planning and food presentation.
- Ability to adapt to both private and charter-style service.
- Excellent communication and guest-interaction skills.
- Ability to work professionally in a yacht environment.
- Male or female candidates considered.
- Valid STCW certificates, if applicable to the position.
- Valid seafarer medical certificate, if applicable.
- Proficiency in English communication.
