Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Baker to join a Drill Ship under a long-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of fresh bakery products for personnel onboard while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene and sanitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh breads, pastries and other bakery products according to onboard requirements.
• Maintain consistent quality and presentation of bakery products.
• Follow approved recipes, production procedures and food-safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bakery and galley areas.
• Safely operate and maintain bakery equipment.
• Monitor ingredients, provisions and stock levels.
• Minimize food waste and use supplies efficiently.
• Participate in onboard safety meetings, drills and training.
• Follow all company, HACCP, health and sanitation requirements.
• Support the catering team with additional galley duties when required.

Requirements

• Previous professional experience as a Baker / Pastry Baker, preferably in offshore, maritime or industrial catering.
• Valid Passport and Seaman's Book.
• Valid BOSIET Training.
• Valid STCW Certificates.
• Valid OGUK Medical Certificate.
• Valid First Aid + AED Training.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong hygiene and food-safety awareness.
• Ability to work effectively in a multinational offshore environment.
• Availability to join in 2026.

Employment Details

Salary:

• On Duty: €2,650
• Off Duty: €1,500

Contract: First contract 6 months, renewable
Rotation: 28 days on / 28 days off
Port of Embarkation: Constanta
Insurance: Full coverage
Travel: Travel expenses paid
Joining: 2026
