VIKING has been named the Official Preferred Global Sales and Service Partner for all respiratory protection and mobile gas detection equipment provided by Dräger to the maritime industry.

This agreement formalizes and expands on an existing partnership between two leaders in maritime safety. It represents a strategic move by Dräger management to collaborate with a global partner capable of supporting its marine products internationally.

According to the agreement, VIKING will serve as Dräger’s reliable Official Preferred Global Sales and Service Partner for respiratory protection and mobile gas detection equipment across the global shipping industry.

Before the official signing ceremony on September 2 at SMM 2026 in Hamburg, Henrik Helsinghof, CEO of VIKING Life-Saving Equipment, stated: “Both VIKING and Dräger are known for their expertise and the high quality of their products. This partnership aims to use our combined strengths to ensure consistent supply and service in this vital area of safety and life-saving equipment.”

VIKING is a top provider of maritime safety and firefighting solutions, offering a range of products such as marine evacuation systems, lifeboats, liferafts, rescue boats, davits, personal protective equipment (PPE), and marine fire services. Dräger's customers will benefit from the extensive global network of certified VIKING service stations that support cargo shipping, offshore assets, passenger shipping, navies, and coastguards, added Helsinghof.

Dräger operates in over 190 countries. The partnership focuses on respiratory protection equipment, portable gas detection systems, tubes, and drug & alcohol detection kits, strengthening Dräger's maritime presence from Lübeck, Germany.

“For maritime customers, being able to access products and services from one source is crucial for keeping safety equipment operational at all times. With VIKING, we have found a partner that has a presence exactly where our customers require complete safety solutions – in major port regions around the world,” says Rainer Klug, Executive Board Member of Safety Technology at Dräger.
