ABS and Alfred Maritime GmbH have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to work on technical projects that will benefit cruise operators, vessels, crews, and passengers.
This MOU sets up a way for both organizations to collaborate in three main areas: fleet performance and health monitoring, maintenance optimization, and safety and emergency systems.
The partnership combines Alfred Maritime’s skills in fleet performance management with ABS’ expertise in classification and safety. By merging digital insights with class-based processes, they aim to reduce unnecessary operations and make regulatory and maintenance tasks easier, all while improving safety measures to ensure more reliable cruise operations.
“ABS is dedicated to improving the future of safety, reliability, and performance in cruise vessels. We are excited to partner with Alfred Maritime to work on enhancing cruise vessel operations,” said Joshua Divin, ABS Senior Vice President of Marine Business Development.
“This partnership with ABS helps us create synergies that will enhance operational excellence and safety in the cruise sector. By leveraging our combined expertise, we are speeding up our shared vision for innovation and enhancing our digital solutions for the maritime industry,” commented Dr. Paul Meyer, Managing Director of Alfred Maritime GmbH.
