We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join Jack-Up Barge JB114 engaged in offshore operations under the RWE NSC A2 project. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing all HSE-related activities onboard, ensuring compliance with company policies, project requirements, and international offshore safety standards.
This role is well suited for professionals with proven jack-up experience, strong HSE background, and the ability to actively manage safety in a high-risk offshore environment.
As per company policy, duties may include but are not limited to:
• Implementing and monitoring HSE policies and procedures onboard
• Conducting safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
• Monitoring jack-up operations to ensure safe working practices
• Performing risk assessments, audits, and inspections
• Managing permit-to-work systems and confined space operations
• Gas measuring and testing prior to hazardous operations
• Ensuring compliance with project-specific and client HSE requirements
• Reporting incidents, near misses, and safety observations
• Promoting a strong safety culture among all crew members
• BOSIET / FOET including HUET
• CA-EBS
• GWO Basic Safety Training (BST)
• Offshore Medical Examination (NOGEPA / O-UK)
• Seaman’s Book & Sea Service
• VCA / MIST / IMIST
• Confined Spaces Certification
• Gas Measuring & Testing
• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
• Security Awareness
• Working at Heights Rescue
• All certifications must be valid
• Proven and strong track record in jack-up operations
• Excellent safety awareness and proactive HSE mindset
• Ability to work effectively in a multinational offshore team
