Job Description

PT. BCP is recruiting an experienced Oiler to join a crewboat operating in the UAE.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of relevant experience in engine-room operations and machinery maintenance. Good English communication skills and a strong understanding of engine-room safety procedures are required.

Previous experience on crewboats or offshore vessels is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation and maintenance of main engines, auxiliary machinery, and engine-room equipment.
• Monitor machinery performance, temperatures, pressures, and lubrication levels.
• Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Assist engineers with machinery repairs and troubleshooting.
• Maintain engine-room cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Report equipment defects, abnormal conditions, and maintenance requirements to the engineering officers.
• Support bunkering and other engine-room activities when assigned and appropriately trained.
• Follow company procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and onboard safety rules.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant engine-room or maritime experience.
• Previous crewboat or offshore vessel experience preferred.
• Valid Seaman's Book.
• Valid STCW certificates and required documents appropriate to the position.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Good command of English and effective communication skills.
• Practical knowledge of engine-room equipment, lubrication, and routine maintenance.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow instructions from engineering officers.
• Availability to work in the UAE on a 6-month-on / 1-month-off rotation.
