Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Motorman to join a Cable Lay Vessel operating on offshore cable installation projects.

Candidates must have previous onboard experience on Cable Lay Vessels and possess valid STCW certificates relevant to the position. Aramco or ADNOC approval is highly preferred.

The successful candidate will assist the engineering department with machinery monitoring, lubrication, preventive maintenance, and engine-room operations to support the safe and reliable functioning of the vessel.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation and maintenance of engine-room machinery.
• Monitor machinery conditions, lubrication levels, temperatures, and pressures.
• Carry out routine inspections and report equipment abnormalities.
• Support preventive maintenance and minor repair activities.
• Assist engineers with machinery servicing and troubleshooting.
• Maintain engine-room cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
• Follow instructions from the Chief Engineer and other engineering officers.
• Comply with onboard safety procedures and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience onboard Cable Lay Vessels – mandatory.
• Previous experience as a Motorman or in a similar engine-room rating position.
• Valid STCW certificates relevant to the position.
• Valid Seaman's Book and medical fitness certificate, where applicable.
• Relevant engine-room rating qualifications or COP, where applicable.
• Aramco / ADNOC approval – highly preferred.
• Practical knowledge of machinery monitoring, lubrication, and routine maintenance.
• Good English communication skills.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work effectively within an engineering team.
