Job Description:
Lowland International is urgently recruiting experienced offshore crew to join a DP1 Offshore Survey & Support Vessel operating in Namibia. Due to the lead time required for Namibian visa processing, candidates should be ready to apply for the visa immediately.

The vessel operates with a reduced Engine Department manning consisting of Chief Engineer, Second Engineer and ETO, with no engine-room ratings. The ETO and Second Engineer may be required to support the Chief Engineer with additional engine-room duties.

  • 2nd Engineer
  • Electro-Technical Officer (ETO)
  • Cook

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Safely operating and supporting DP1 offshore survey and support vessel operations
  • Performing duties according to the assigned rank and company procedures
  • Supporting planned maintenance and safe operation of vessel machinery and equipment
  • Maintaining compliance with offshore HSE, STCW and vessel safety requirements
  • Assisting with additional operational duties as required by the vessel's manning arrangement

Additional Engine Department Duties for ETO / 2nd Engineer:

  • Supporting bunkering operations
  • Conducting weekly tests of Engine Room safety equipment
  • Assisting with planned maintenance of main and auxiliary engines
  • Performing routine engine-room tasks as part of a two-person team
  • Participating in Engine Room duty rotation during UMS mode

Requirements:

  • Proven offshore experience in the respective rank
  • Experience on Survey / Support / DP vessels
  • Valid STCW certificates
  • Valid EU Medical
  • Valid DP Certificate where applicable
  • Readiness to immediately apply for a Namibian visa
  • Good English communication skills
  • Relevant experience for the position applied for

  • Embarkation: Approximately 4 November 2026
  • Contract Duration: 6 weeks (+2/-2 weeks)
  • Rotation: First contract serves as a probationary period; regular rotation may be offered after successful completion
  • Salary: Competitive, based on experience
