Job Description:
We are urgently looking for an experienced Deck Foreman to join our client’s Cable Lay Vessel operating in Europe. The role involves supervising deck operations related to cable installation projects in an offshore environment. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating deck crew activities, ensuring safe lifting and rigging operations, and maintaining compliance with offshore safety standards. Immediate availability is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Supervising deck crew during cable lay and offshore installation operations
• Coordinating lifting, rigging, and load handling activities
• Ensuring compliance with HSE policies and offshore safety regulations
• Conducting toolbox talks and overseeing safe work practices on deck
• Liaising with vessel management and project team to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate (Current Offshore Medical)
• Proficiency in English communication
• EU candidates only
• Valid GWO certification (all modules)
• Recognised Rigging Certificate
• Previous experience as Deck Foreman on Cable Lay or similar offshore vessels
