Deck / Barge Foreman for Cable Layer Vessel (Netherlands)

Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Deck / Barge Foreman to join a Cable Layer vessel operating in the Netherlands. The position is available for immediate joining (ASAP) on a 5-week rotation, with the potential to extend to 10 weeks depending on project requirements.
The successful candidate will oversee deck and barge operations related to cable laying activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution in compliance with offshore standards and company procedures. This role requires strong leadership skills and solid offshore construction experience.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Supervising deck crew during cable laying and marine operations
• Coordinating lifting and rigging activities in compliance with safety standards
• Ensuring adherence to HSE policies and offshore regulations
• Conducting toolbox talks and risk assessments
• Liaising with vessel management and project teams to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Proven offshore experience in a similar supervisory role
Mandatory Training & Certificates:
• GWO Basic Safety Training
• HUET + CA-EBS (or BOSIET including CA-EBS)
• Safe Lifting / Banksman Offshore / Banksman Rigger (or equivalent)
• Security Awareness (STCW A-VI/6-1)
• STCW Basic Safety
• VCA Basic
• MLC Medical
Required Medical Certificates:
• National Seafarer Medical (Flag State approved)
• Offshore Medical (NOGEPA / DGMM / Dansk Offshore / OGUK)
