Rotation: 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off (regular rotation)
Job Description:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) to join a Pipelay vessel operating in China. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all electrical and electronic systems onboard, supporting continuous offshore construction operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, duties may include but are not limited to:
- Operation, maintenance, and repair of vessel electrical and electronic systems
- Troubleshooting faults in power generation, distribution, and control systems
- Maintenance of automation, DP-related, and safety systems
- Ensuring compliance with vessel SMS, class, and statutory requirements
- Maintaining accurate records, logs, and technical reports
- Supporting offshore pipelay operations with reliable electrical performance
- Strict adherence to safety procedures and permit-to-work systems
Requirements:
- Valid ETO Certificate of Competency (STCW III/6)
- BOSIET with CA-EBS (mandatory)
- Valid STCW basic safety certificates
- Valid medical fitness certificate
- Previous offshore experience, preferably on pipelay or construction vessels
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety awareness and ability to work in a multinational crew
