Job Description
A leading maritime company is seeking an experienced AB / Crane Operator to join a DP2 SCOV operating in the North Sea.
The vessel is equipped with a 150-tonne SWL crane and supports offshore operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for deck duties, crane operations, lifting activities, and general offshore support while maintaining full compliance with applicable maritime and HSE requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform Able Seaman and Crane Operator duties onboard
- Assist with offshore lifting and crane operations
- Prepare and secure loads for lifting operations
- Operate crane equipment in accordance with approved procedures
- Carry out deck maintenance, preservation, and housekeeping duties
- Inspect lifting gear and associated equipment
- Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety meetings
- Support general offshore construction and vessel operations
- Comply with vessel, company, and HSE procedures
Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications
- Valid First Class Seaman License
- Valid Crane Operator’s Certificate, such as:
- Sparrows Stage 3
- EnerMech Stage 3
- G5
- AIS Survivex
- Valid CoC and Flag State Endorsement
- Valid STCW certification package
- Valid Medical Certificate
Experience
- Minimum 18 months of actual onboard experience on:
- Experience specifically in the rank of AB / Crane Operator
- Previous DP vessel / offshore experience preferred
- Good English communication skills
- Strong knowledge of offshore lifting and deck operations
Nationality / Right to Work
- EU passport holders only, or
- Ukrainian nationals holding a valid EU residence permit
This requirement applies due to the vessel’s Norwegian flag and specific flag-state requirements.
