Job Description

Apex Crew Management is seeking a qualified and experienced Chief Engineer to oversee the technical operations of a non-DP Supply Vessel. The successful candidate must have at least 24 months of experience in the same rank on supply vessels and be capable of ensuring the safe and reliable operation of all engine-room machinery. Candidates with relevant UAE experience are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Supervise the operation, maintenance, and repair of the vessel’s propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
• Manage engine-room personnel and coordinate technical maintenance activities.
• Ensure machinery reliability and compliance with applicable safety requirements.
• Plan and monitor preventive maintenance and technical inspections.
• Maintain engine-room records, inventories, and maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate with the Master and shore management regarding technical issues and repairs.

Requirements

• Minimum 24 months of experience as Chief Engineer on Supply Vessels.
• Relevant UAE experience is preferred.
• Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency and applicable endorsements.
• Valid seafarer’s documents and STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Good English communication skills.
• Strong technical, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
