Job Description

TOS People is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer with DP Maintenance experience for a Jack-Up Barge project.

The successful candidate will manage the engineering department and oversee the operation, maintenance, and reliability of the vessel's machinery, electrical power systems, and associated technical equipment. Experience maintaining DP-related systems is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the engineering department and supervise engineering personnel.
• Oversee main engines, generators, auxiliary machinery, and power-generation systems.
• Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Support the maintenance and reliability of DP-related machinery and technical systems.
• Troubleshoot technical faults and coordinate corrective maintenance.
• Maintain engineering records, maintenance schedules, and technical documentation.
• Manage engineering spares, tools, and technical supplies.
• Coordinate with the Master, ETO, and other departments to maintain operational readiness.
• Ensure compliance with onboard HSE procedures and maintenance standards.

Requirements

• Relevant experience as Chief Engineer on Jack-Up Barges.
• Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency appropriate to the vessel and position.
• Relevant DP Maintenance experience – required.
• Relevant DP Maintenance qualifications or training, where specified by the employer.
• Valid STCW certificates and applicable endorsements.
• Valid medical fitness certificate and Seaman's Book, where applicable.
• Strong knowledge of marine machinery, power systems, and technical maintenance.
• Good leadership, troubleshooting, and planning skills.
• Good English communication skills.
• Availability for offshore mobilisation as required.
