Job Description:
We are currently recruiting an experienced 1st Engineer for a Jack-Up vessel operating offshore in Taiwan.
Vessel type: Jack-Up unit (offshore installation vessel)
Assignment period: 12 May – 26 May 2026
This role requires strong offshore engineering experience and full compliance with vessel and offshore certification standards.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Overall supervision of engine room operations onboard Jack-Up vessel
• Supporting safe operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary machinery
• Ensuring compliance with planned maintenance systems (PMS)
• Monitoring fuel, power, and propulsion systems efficiency
• Supervising engine room crew and delegating tasks
• Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures
• Reporting technical issues to Chief Engineer and shore management

Requirements:
• Valid Certificate of Competency (1st Engineer)
• MLC Medical certificate
• STCW Basic Safety Training (BST)
• STCW Survival Craft certificate
• STCW SA/DSD or SSO
• STCW Advanced Fire Fighting (AFF)
• STCW Medical First Aid (MFA)
• STCW Bridge Resource Management (BRM)
• OPITO BOSIET or FOET incl. CA-EBS
• High Voltage certification
• Valid passport and Seaman’s Book
• Marlins Test (if non-UK national)
• GWO Working at Heights (WAH) and Sea Survival (SS)
• 2 recent trip appraisals
• Previous Jack-Up vessel experience (mandatory)
• Note: Ukrainian nationals cannot be considered due to visa restrictions
