Job Description

An experienced Able Seaman is required to join a Buoy Laying Vessel (BLV) in Greenock, UK, for a contract commencing at the end of October 2026.

The successful candidate will assist with deck operations, buoy handling and laying activities, vessel maintenance, and other duties required for safe and efficient offshore operations.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist with buoy laying, handling, recovery, and associated deck operations.
• Carry out mooring and anchoring operations as directed.
• Perform routine deck maintenance, cleaning, and preservation.
• Operate and maintain deck equipment safely.
• Assist with lifting and cargo-handling operations.
• Participate in emergency drills and comply with onboard safety procedures.

Requirements

• AB CoC – mandatory.
• Previous buoy tender experience – mandatory.
• Full and valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• UK Nationals Only.
• Relevant experience as an Able Seaman on offshore vessels.
• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to work safely as part of an offshore vessel crew.
