Position: 3rd Engineer

Location: Ghana

Job Description:

Worldwide Recruitment Solutions (WRS) is currently seeking an experienced 3rd Engineer to join a Geotechnical Drilling Vessel operating in Ghana. The role involves supporting engine room operations and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient vessel performance during offshore drilling activities.

The contract is scheduled to commence around 20 January and is suitable for engineers with valid certification and prior offshore or specialized vessel experience.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assisting in operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary machinery
• Carrying out routine engine room watchkeeping and inspections
• Supporting planned maintenance and repairs as directed by senior engineers
• Monitoring machinery performance and reporting abnormalities
• Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and company procedures
• Maintaining accurate logs and technical records

Requirements:

• Valid Certificate of Competency (COC) for 3rd Engineer
• All valid STCW certificates
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
• Valid Seaman’s Book
• Valid Passport
• Good English communication skills
• Previous offshore or similar vessel experience is an advantage
