2nd Officer for AHTS / Tug Vessels

Job Description

Jebsen PTC is seeking a qualified Second Officer to support safe navigation, bridge watchkeeping, and operational activities aboard an offshore AHTS or tug vessel.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform navigational watchkeeping and assist with passage planning.
• Maintain nautical charts, navigational publications, and bridge records.
• Support safe vessel operations during offshore and towing activities.
• Assist with safety drills and the inspection of lifesaving and firefighting equipment.
• Ensure compliance with onboard procedures and applicable maritime regulations.

Requirements

• Valid Second Officer’s Certificate of Competency appropriate to the vessel.
• Relevant seagoing experience; offshore AHTS or tug experience is an advantage.
• Valid STCW certificates and seafarer documents.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
