Job Description

A reputable offshore vessel operator is currently seeking an experienced 2nd Engineer to join a SCOV DP2 vessel operating in the North Sea.

The successful candidate will support engine room operations, machinery maintenance, DP-related systems, technical troubleshooting, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of all engineering equipment onboard while complying with international maritime regulations and company procedures.

This opportunity is ideal for offshore engineering professionals with proven experience onboard MPSV, OCV, or DSV vessels and strong technical expertise in DP vessel operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer in managing daily engine room operations
• Maintain propulsion, auxiliary, and electrical machinery
• Perform planned maintenance and repair activities
• Monitor engine room performance and operational efficiency
• Support Dynamic Positioning maintenance activities
• Maintain technical records and maintenance documentation
• Ensure compliance with ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, and company procedures
• Participate in emergency drills and safety procedures
• Support safe offshore vessel operations in the North Sea

Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

• Valid 2nd Engineer Certificate of Competency
• DP Maintenance Certificate
• Minimum 18 months actual onboard experience as 2nd Engineer on:
  • MPSV
  • OCV
  • DSV
• Valid STCW certification package
• Valid medical certificate
• Valid passport and seaman book
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Nationality & Documentation Requirements

• Valid EU Passport holders preferred
• Ukrainian candidates must hold a valid EU residence permit
• Must satisfy Norwegian flag-state requirements
