2nd Engineer for Container Carrier Vessel (North Sea)

Job Description:
We are looking for a qualified 2nd Engineer to join a Container Vessel operating in the North Sea. The contract duration is 4 ± 1 months, with the joining date scheduled for beginning of November. The successful candidate must hold a valid Second Engineer’s License, have completed an English language test within the last 3 months, and have proven experience working with 4-stroke engines.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Assisting the Chief Engineer with the safe and efficient operation of the vessel’s engine room and machinery
• Monitoring, operating, and maintaining main and auxiliary machinery, including 4-stroke engines
• Carrying out planned maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of engineering systems
• Supervising engine room activities and ensuring compliance with safety and company procedures
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all machinery operates safely and efficiently

Requirements:
• Valid Second Engineer’s License
• Valid COC, Flag State Endorsement, and STCW certificates
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Completed English language test within the last 3 months
• Minimum 24 months of onboard experience as 2nd Engineer on similar types of vessels
• Mandatory experience with 4-stroke engines
• Valid Marlins Test with a minimum score of 60% in all sections
• Valid passport and seaman’s book with documented sea service
• References from previous employers
