Hiring for VLCC / Aframax / Suezmax Tanker Vessels

Job Description

Spectrum Marine and Ship Management Inc. is recruiting qualified and experienced seafarers to join its tanker fleet, including VLCC, Aframax, and Suezmax vessels. The company is seeking deck officers, engine officers, engine ratings, an Electro-Technical Officer, a Pumpman, and Chief Cooks.

Successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out their assigned duties in accordance with company policies, international maritime regulations, and onboard safety procedures. Applicants for the Chief Cook position must have experience preparing Indian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Deck Officers: Assisting with navigation, bridge watchkeeping, safety inspections, and cargo operations.
• Engine Officers: Monitoring and maintaining engine-room machinery and ensuring the safe operation of onboard equipment.
• OS and Wiper: Supporting routine deck or engine-room maintenance, cleaning, and operational tasks.
• ETO: Maintaining and troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and automation systems.
• Pumpman: Operating and maintaining cargo pumps and related equipment and assisting with tanker cargo operations.
• Chief Cook: Preparing meals, including Indian cuisine, maintaining galley hygiene, and managing food storage and provisions.

Requirements

• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Relevant certificates and qualifications for the applied position.
• Previous experience on oil tankers or similar vessel types, as applicable to the rank.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Valid seafarer's documents.
• Chief Cook applicants: Previous experience preparing Indian cuisine is required.
