Job Description

BlackHarbor Maritime Services Pvt. Ltd. is urgently recruiting qualified and experienced seafarers to join a 41,000 GRT Bulk Carrier.

Vacancies are available across the deck department, engine department, ratings, and catering personnel. Candidates with relevant Bulk Carrier experience and those ready to join within one week are preferred.

Applicants holding relevant Certificates of Competency (CoC) or accepted Indian Watchkeeping (WK) qualifications are invited to apply, subject to the requirements of their respective positions.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

Deck Officers

• Supervise and perform navigational watchkeeping duties according to rank.
• Oversee cargo operations, passage planning, and safe vessel navigation.
• Maintain navigational records and ensure compliance with onboard safety procedures.
• Coordinate deck activities and supervise ratings as appropriate to the position.

Engine Officers and ETO

• Operate, inspect, and maintain main engines, auxiliary machinery, and technical systems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and troubleshoot machinery or electrical faults.
• Maintain engineering records and ensure machinery remains operationally ready.
• Follow company maintenance procedures and applicable safety requirements.

Ratings and Other Crew

• Perform deck maintenance, mooring, and cargo-support duties as assigned.
• Assist with engine-room operations, machinery maintenance, and housekeeping.
• Carry out fitting, repair, and maintenance tasks according to the position.
• Prepare meals and maintain galley hygiene where applicable.
• Support general onboard housekeeping and crew services.
• Comply with instructions from senior officers and follow onboard safety procedures.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in the position applied for.
• Any Certificate of Competency (CoC) accepted, subject to verification and suitability for the applied rank.
• Indian Watchkeeping (WK) qualifications accepted, where applicable.
• Previous Bulk Carrier experience preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates and other maritime documents required for the position.
• Valid Seaman's Book and medical fitness certificate, where applicable.
• Relevant professional qualifications for deck officers, engine officers, ETO, and ratings.
• Good communication skills and knowledge of onboard safety procedures.
• Ready-to-join candidates preferred.
• Ability to join at Dubai within the required timeframe.
