Chief Officer for Bulk Carrier Vessel

Job Description:

SSM Maritime Services Inc. is recruiting an experienced Chief Officer for a bulk carrier. The successful candidate will assist the Master with vessel management, cargo operations, deck crew supervision, and compliance with maritime safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Supervise deck operations and cargo loading and discharging.
• Assist with passage planning and navigational watchkeeping.
• Coordinate deck maintenance and crew assignments.
• Monitor cargo safety and vessel stability requirements.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with company procedures.

Requirements:

• Relevant Chief Officer Certificate of Competency.
• Previous experience on bulk carriers preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
