Job Description

Westminster Seafarer Management Philippines, Inc. is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead the engine department and oversee the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of all machinery onboard.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Managing the engine department and supervising engineering personnel.
  • Ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary machinery.
  • Planning preventive maintenance, inspections, and repair work.
  • Monitoring fuel consumption, machinery performance, and technical records.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and company requirements.

Requirements

  • Valid Chief Engineer’s Certificate of Competency appropriate to the vessel and flag.
  • Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness certificate.
  • Relevant experience as Chief Engineer on tanker vessels.
  • Proficiency in English communication.
  • Valid passport and Seaman’s Book.
  • Tanker-specific qualifications and endorsements as required by the employer.
