Job Description

BSM Crew Service Centre Philippines, Inc. is urgently recruiting a qualified Chief Engineer for a container vessel. The successful candidate will oversee engine-room operations and ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel’s propulsion and auxiliary machinery.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Manage engine-room operations and supervise engineering personnel.
  • Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary machinery.
  • Plan and monitor preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain engine-room records and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Valid Chief Engineer’s Certificate of Competency.
  • Relevant experience on container vessels.
  • Valid STCW certificates and seafarer documents.
  • Valid medical fitness certificate.
  • Proficiency in English communication.
