Job Description
We are urgently recruiting an experienced Bosun to join a Bulk Carrier vessel.
The successful candidate will supervise deck crew and deck operations, ensuring safe cargo handling, mooring operations, maintenance activities, and compliance with company procedures, STCW requirements, and international maritime safety standards.
This position is suitable for a professional with strong leadership skills and proven experience in the same rank on Bulk Carrier vessels.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervising deck crew and daily deck operations
• Overseeing mooring, anchoring, and cargo-related activities
• Planning and monitoring deck maintenance and repair works
• Ensuring proper use of deck equipment and safety procedures
• Maintaining discipline and teamwork onboard
• Ensuring compliance with ISM Code and company policies
Requirements
• Proven experience as Bosun on Bulk Carrier vessels
• Valid STCW certificates
• All documents with minimum 18 months validity
• Good command of English
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
