Job Description:

SSM Maritime Services Inc. is seeking a qualified Third Engineer for a bulk carrier. The successful candidate will assist with engine-room watches, machinery maintenance, and the reliable operation of onboard engineering systems.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with operating and maintaining engine-room machinery.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
  • Monitor machinery and report faults to senior engineers.
  • Maintain accurate engine-room records.
  • Follow onboard safety and environmental procedures.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Third Engineer Certificate of Competency.
  • Previous experience on bulk carriers preferred.
  • Valid STCW certificates.
  • Valid medical fitness certificate.
  • Proficiency in English communication.
