Job Description
Jebsen PTC Maritime Incorporated is recruiting a qualified Second Engineer to join an LPG tanker. The successful candidate will support the Chief Engineer in managing engine-room operations, maintaining machinery, and ensuring safe and efficient vessel performance.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Supervise and perform maintenance of engine-room machinery and equipment.
- Monitor machinery performance and troubleshoot technical problems.
- Assist with planned maintenance, repairs, and engine-room inspections.
- Maintain machinery records and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Support the Chief Engineer in pollution prevention and emergency preparedness.
Requirements
- Valid Engineer Officer Certificate of Competency appropriate to the rank and vessel.
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Valid seafarer medical fitness certificate.
- Valid passport and Seaman’s Book.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Relevant experience as a Second Engineer; LPG tanker experience and applicable gas tanker qualifications should meet company and flag requirements.
