Job Description:

SSM Maritime Services Inc. is recruiting a Second Engineer to support the Chief Engineer in managing engine-room operations aboard a bulk carrier. The role involves maintaining propulsion and auxiliary machinery and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of technical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
• Supervise assigned engine-room maintenance tasks.
• Monitor machinery performance and troubleshoot defects.
• Maintain engine-room logs and technical records.
• Follow safety and environmental procedures.

Requirements:

• Relevant Second Engineer Certificate of Competency.
• Previous experience on bulk carriers preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
