Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanic to join a Drillship operating in Las Palmas. The assignment is offshore-based and may be for one hitch or longer, depending on operational requirements. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems onboard in accordance with offshore safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Performing maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and equipment onboard
• Supporting engine room and technical operations as required
• Conducting inspections, fault-finding, and preventive maintenance tasks
• Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with safety procedures and regulations
• Assisting senior engineers and technical staff with operational tasks
Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Previous experience as Mechanic on offshore vessels (Drillship experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of marine mechanical systems and maintenance procedures
