Job Description:
Avoda Solutions is seeking experienced Barge Masters for offshore operations in Nigeria. The Barge Master will be responsible for managing the marine aspects of the drilling unit, ensuring vessel stability, safety, and compliance with marine regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee marine operations, including ballast control and vessel stability
• Ensure compliance with maritime and offshore safety standards
• Manage deck crew and marine operations on the drilling unit
• Coordinate supply vessel operations and logistics
• Maintain accurate records and reports of marine activities
Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates and Master Mariner/DP qualifications (as applicable)
• Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in offshore marine operations, with at least 3 years as Barge Master
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
