Job Description

WTS Energy is recruiting qualified and experienced professionals with offshore experience for multiple positions across offshore drilling, mechanical, electrical, crane operations, and rig-floor departments.

We are looking for motivated candidates with relevant technical experience, valid maritime documentation, and the ability to work safely in an offshore environment.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

Senior Mechanic / Assistant Mechanic

• Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical faults.
• Monitor equipment condition and report defects.
• Assist with maintenance schedules and machinery inspections.
• Follow offshore safety procedures and permit-to-work requirements.

Senior Electrician / Assistant Electrician

• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment and systems.
• Inspect power distribution systems, motors, and electrical installations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs.
• Identify electrical faults and support equipment reliability.
• Follow electrical isolation procedures and offshore HSE requirements.

Motorman

• Assist with machinery operation and maintenance.
• Monitor lubrication, temperatures, pressures, and equipment conditions.
• Carry out routine inspections and report abnormalities.
• Support engineers with maintenance and repair activities.
• Maintain clean and safe machinery working areas.

Driller

• Operate and monitor drilling equipment.
• Coordinate rig-floor activities and supervise assigned drilling personnel.
• Monitor drilling parameters and report abnormal operating conditions.
• Ensure compliance with approved drilling procedures and safety requirements.
• Maintain operational records and support efficient drilling operations.

SPC (Senior Professional Control)

• Perform assigned control-related duties in accordance with project procedures.
• Monitor relevant operations and report discrepancies or equipment issues.
• Coordinate with the appropriate offshore teams to support safe operations.
• Maintain required operational records and follow HSE procedures.

Floorman

• Assist with rig-floor operations and drilling equipment handling.
• Support the preparation, assembly, and maintenance of drilling equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized rig floor.
• Follow instructions from the Driller and other senior rig personnel.
• Observe safe working practices and participate in safety briefings.

Derrickman

• Assist with drilling-fluid and mud-system operations.
• Support tubular handling and drilling equipment activities as assigned.
• Inspect relevant equipment and report defects.
• Maintain safe working areas and comply with drilling procedures.

Assistant Crane Operator

• Assist with preparation and execution of offshore lifting operations.
• Support crane inspections and equipment-readiness checks.
• Coordinate with the Crane Operator, riggers, and deck personnel.
• Follow lifting plans, risk assessments, and offshore safety procedures.

Welder

• Carry out welding, fabrication, and repair work as required.
• Prepare materials and surfaces for welding.
• Inspect completed work and report defects.
• Maintain welding tools and equipment in safe working condition.
• Follow approved welding procedures and hot-work safety requirements.

RSTB

• Perform assigned duties according to the specific role and project requirements.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and comply with offshore operational procedures.
• Maintain workplace safety and operational readiness.
• Support the relevant offshore team as required.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the applicable requirements for their intended position.

General Requirements

• Mexican or foreign Seaman's Book.
• Valid passport.
• Valid medical examination documentation appropriate to the assignment. The advertisements specify an SST medical examination for certain vacancies and a valid OGUK medical certificate for others.
• Basic Offshore Platforms and Barges Course, where specified.
• Valid TBOSIET certificate.
• Valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.
• Conversational English.
• Relevant offshore experience and technical qualifications for the position applied for.
• Ability to work safely in an offshore environment.
• Availability to meet the project's mobilisation requirements.

Additional Requirements for Floorman Positions

• Valid Well Control certification – mandatory for Floorman vacancies.
• Relevant rig-floor or offshore drilling experience preferred.

Position-Specific Requirements

• Driller / Derrickman / Floorman: Relevant drilling experience and applicable training.
• Mechanical Positions: Relevant mechanical qualifications and maintenance experience.
• Electrical Positions: Relevant electrical qualifications and troubleshooting experience.
• Assistant Crane Operator: Relevant crane-support or lifting-operation experience and required project certifications.
• Welder: Relevant welding experience and qualifications appropriate to the assignment.
• Motorman: Relevant engine-room or machinery maintenance experience.
