Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Rig Electrician to join a Geotechnical Drilling Vessel operating offshore in the Republic of the Congo. This is a short-term assignment supporting offshore drilling operations, with an expected duration of 5–6 days. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems, ensuring the reliable operation of drilling equipment, and supporting safe offshore operations. Candidates must hold all required offshore certifications and be available to join on 17 July.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems and drilling equipment onboard.
Troubleshoot electrical faults and minimize equipment downtime.
Ensure all electrical installations comply with company safety standards and offshore regulations.
Support preventive maintenance programs for electrical and control systems.
Work closely with the engineering and drilling teams to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Medical fitness certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.
Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC).
Valid Seaman's Book.
Valid Passport.
Previous experience as a Rig Electrician on offshore drilling or geotechnical drilling vessels is preferred.
