Job Description:

Atlas Professionals are recruiting an experienced Chief Mate to join a Semi-Submersible Offshore Unit operating in Norwegian waters.
This is a short-term offshore assignment commencing 28 January for a duration of 2 weeks.

The role involves supporting marine operations, watchkeeping, stability and ballast control (as applicable), and ensuring compliance with offshore safety and operational procedures in a high-standard North Sea environment.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Performing bridge watchkeeping duties and supporting marine operations onboard the semi-submersible
• Assisting the Master with vessel stability, ballast operations, and marine safety
• Supervising deck operations and coordinating deck crew activities
• Ensuring compliance with ISM, ISPS, and offshore safety regulations
• Participating in drills, safety meetings, and operational planning

Requirements:

• Valid STCW Certificate of Competency as Chief Mate
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Previous experience on Semi-Submersible Offshore Units preferred
• Valid passport and seaman’s book
