Job Description

WTS Energy is seeking an Assistant Mechanic to support mechanical maintenance and repair activities on offshore platforms and barges during night shifts.

The successful candidate will assist senior mechanics with inspections, equipment servicing, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance to help maintain operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Support repairs and replacement of mechanical components.
• Prepare tools, materials, and equipment for maintenance activities.
• Report mechanical defects and abnormal equipment conditions.
• Maintain clean and organized working areas.
• Follow instructions from senior mechanics and supervisors.

Requirements

• Relevant mechanical maintenance experience.
• Previous offshore platform or barge experience preferred.
• Mexican or foreign Seaman's Book.
• SST medical examination.
• Basic Offshore Platforms and Barges Course.
• Valid TBOSIET certificate.
• Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.
• Conversational English.
• Ability to work night shifts and follow offshore HSE procedures.
