Job Description:

A cruise ship operator is seeking an Assistant Joiner and Carpenter to support onboard carpentry, joinery, and interior maintenance activities. The successful candidate will assist with repairs and upkeep to maintain the vessel’s furnishings, fixtures, and interior spaces in good condition.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with repairs to wooden furniture, fixtures, doors, and interior fittings.
• Supporting routine joinery and carpentry maintenance.
• Preparing tools and materials for repair tasks.
• Inspecting assigned areas and reporting damage or maintenance needs.
• Maintaining a clean and safe workshop and work environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant carpentry or joinery experience.
• Previous cruise or passenger vessel experience preferred.
• Relevant technical qualifications, where required.
• Valid STCW certificates and Seaman’s Book, where required for the position.
• Medical fitness certificate in accordance with applicable standards.
• Good English communication and practical problem-solving skills.
