Job Description

PT. BCP is seeking an experienced Steward / Messman to join a crewboat operating in the UAE.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting onboard catering and housekeeping duties, maintaining clean and hygienic accommodation and mess areas, and assisting with meal service for the crew.

Candidates must have at least two years of relevant experience and good English communication skills. Previous experience on crewboats or offshore vessels is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with meal service and general catering duties onboard.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the mess room, accommodation areas, and assigned spaces.
• Support the Cook with galley cleaning, dishwashing, and food-storage activities.
• Assist with receiving and storing provisions.
• Maintain housekeeping supplies and report shortages when necessary.
• Follow food hygiene, sanitation, and safe handling procedures.
• Ensure assigned areas remain clean, organized, and presentable.
• Follow instructions from the Cook, vessel officers, and other supervisors.
• Comply with company safety procedures and onboard requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant maritime, catering, or housekeeping experience.
• Previous crewboat or offshore vessel experience preferred.
• Valid Seaman's Book, where required.
• Valid STCW certificates and other required maritime documents, as applicable.
• Valid medical fitness certificate, where required.
• Good command of English and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of galley hygiene, food handling, and housekeeping practices.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a vessel crew.
• Availability to work in the UAE on a 6-month-on / 1-month-off rotation.
