Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Steward to join a vessel operating in UK waters within 12 nautical miles. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of housekeeping, catering support, and accommodation services while ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the crew. This is a regular rotational position with a three-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in accommodation areas, galley, and common spaces.
Assist with food preparation, serving meals, and galley support duties.
Manage housekeeping and laundry services for the crew.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Support daily onboard operations in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations.
Requirements:
Valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificates.
Valid STCW Security Awareness certificate.
Medical fitness certificate issued by a Belgian flag-approved doctor.
Proficiency in English communication.
HACCP training certificate.
Valid Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
Previous experience as a Steward or in a similar hospitality role onboard vessels is preferred.
