Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Chief Steward to join a DP2 Subsea Construction Offshore Vessel (SCOV) operating in the North Sea.
The contract duration is 8 weeks with a planned joining date on 10th May. The Chief Steward will be responsible for overseeing housekeeping and catering support services onboard, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, organization, and crew welfare. Candidates must have prior experience on similar offshore vessel types and hold all required certifications, including Ship’s Steward License and HUET with CA-EBS.
Only EU nationals holding a valid UK work permit or Ukrainian candidates under UK protection status will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Supervising housekeeping and steward department activities onboard
• Ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of accommodation and common areas
• Managing inventory of cleaning and consumable supplies
• Supporting catering operations and coordinating with galley staff
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates
• Ship’s Steward License
• HUET with CA-EBS
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• EU Nationals with valid UK work permit or Ukrainian candidates under UK protection status
• Minimum 12 months experience as Chief Steward on similar types of vessels
