Job Description

Select Offshore is seeking an experienced Laundryman / Laundrywoman to join a Heavy Lift Vessel (HLV) operating in the Far East.

The successful candidate will be responsible for daily laundry operations, garment care, linen management, and maintaining a clean and organized laundry room onboard.

Applicants must possess valid STCW certificates, BOSIET with CA-EBS, and a valid Schengen Visa. Previous shipboard laundry or housekeeping experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily laundry operations for crew clothing, uniforms, towels, and linen.
• Sort garments according to fabric type, colour, and care requirements.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, irons, steamers, and other laundry equipment safely.
• Wash, dry, iron, fold, and distribute garments and linen.
• Apply appropriate garment-care methods and stain-treatment techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the laundry room.
• Monitor laundry supplies and report shortages or equipment defects.
• Follow onboard safety, hygiene, and housekeeping procedures.
• Maintain an organized workflow and ensure laundry is returned within the required timeframe.

Requirements

• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience with commercial laundry equipment and garment-care procedures.
• Good understanding of fabric care, washing methods, ironing, and stain treatment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Valid BOSIET with CA-EBS – mandatory.
• Valid STCW certificates – mandatory.
• Valid Schengen Visa – mandatory.
• Valid Seaman's Book and medical fitness certificate, where required.
• Good English communication skills.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Availability for immediate mobilisation.
