We are recruiting an experienced Chief Cook for a SCOV DP3 vessel operating in the Sabah region of Malaysia.
The role requires strong offshore catering experience, excellent food safety knowledge, and the ability to provide high-quality meals for crew and project personnel.
Candidates must hold a valid Work Permit for Sabah or be of Sabahan origin to meet local operational requirements.
The contract is 5 weeks, with joining planned for 3 December.
As per company policy, main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Managing daily food preparation and delivery of balanced meals for crew and offshore teams
• Ensuring hygiene, sanitation, and food storage standards in line with international and vessel requirements
• Overseeing galley operations, inventory control, and supply management
• Maintaining compliance with food safety procedures, including HACCP standards
• Coordinating with vessel management on dietary needs and galley safety practices
• Ship’s Cook License
• Safe Food Handling Certificate
• HACCP Level 2 Certificate
• OPITO BOSIET or HUET with CA-EBS
• TSSB Certificate
• Petronas Offshore Medical (valid)
• Valid STCW certificates
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Minimum 24 months experience as Chief Cook on similar offshore vessels
• Proficiency in English communication
• Work Permit for Sabah or Sabahan origin (mandatory)
• Contract Duration: 5 weeks
• Salary: 200 EUR per day
