Location: North Sea
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Chief Cook to join a DP2 Subsea Construction Offshore Vessel (SCOV) operating in the North Sea.
The contract duration is 8 weeks with a planned joining date on 10th May. The Chief Cook will be responsible for managing all galley operations onboard, including meal planning, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and crew catering. Candidates must have proven experience on similar offshore vessel types and hold all required certifications, including Ship’s Cook License and HUET with CA-EBS.
Only EU nationals holding a valid UK work permit or Ukrainian candidates under UK protection status will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Managing daily galley operations and supervising catering staff
• Planning menus and preparing nutritious meals for crew
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
• Managing inventory, provisioning, and stock control
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of galley and storage areas
Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates
• Ship’s Cook License
• HUET with CA-EBS
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• EU Nationals with valid UK work permit or Ukrainian candidates under UK protection status
• Minimum 12 months experience as Chief Cook on similar types of vessels
