Chief Cook for LPG Tanker Vessel

Job Description

Jebsen PTC Maritime Incorporated is seeking an experienced Chief Cook to prepare meals for officers and crew onboard an LPG tanker. The successful candidate will manage galley operations, maintain food hygiene, and ensure proper handling and storage of provisions.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Prepare daily meals according to the crew's requirements and meal schedules.
• Manage galley supplies, food storage, and inventory.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
• Ensure safe food preparation and proper handling of provisions.
• Minimize food waste and maintain an organized galley.

Requirements

• Relevant experience as a Chief Cook or shipboard Cook.
• Valid Cook certificate or qualification required for the position.
• Valid STCW certificates as applicable.
• Valid seafarer medical fitness certificate.
• Valid passport and Seaman’s Book.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Knowledge of food safety, galley hygiene, and safe food storage procedures.
