October 26, 2025 – A ship flying the Chinese flag sank near Guangzhou after hitting a container ship registered in Singapore, according to a statement from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore on Sunday.

After the collision that occurred on Saturday night, two out of the 15 crew members on board the wrecked ship, Hai Li 5, are still missing. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among the crew of the Wan Hai A17. The authority is currently looking into the incident.
